I started my education at Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Faculty of Medicine in 2019 and I am currently an intern doctor at my university. I was interested in drawing and art long before my medical school life. For as long as I can remember, I have been doodling at every opportunity. During my first years at medical school, I received professional painting training and progressed by laying a solid foundation in both painting and medicine.
Throughout my medical school education, I would drown in long texts crammed onto slides. I realized that these subjects could be more eye-catching, clear and memorable with my drawings. It was from this point that I started to combine my medical knowledge and my interest in art. I am currently the editor-in-chief of a histology atlas, I have drawn articles for many professors and have drawn special surgical techniques for surgeons.
I have been taking medical illustration training from Levent Efe since 2022 and I am a member of the Turkish Medical Illustrators Group (TMİG). I have also been a member of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI) since 2023.
What do I pay attention to in my work?
– I work by paying attention to every detail of the idea in your mind. I believe the success of drawing is hidden in the details.
– I express the main message in a clear way with art. Contributing to the education of patients and students is one of my greatest passions.
– I make sure that my work is detailed and authentic. There will be no unexpected copyright issues since my work is unique.
– I create an artwork that will attract interest and attention with an eye-catching composition. One of my main goals is to show the attractive side of medicine through my drawings.
– Since I have basic medical knowledge to understand every detail of the design in your mind, I can largely visualize your design. I’m capable of using the advanced medical and art education I have acquired to work on this subject clearly, concisely and as desired.
